Assembly for diversity and democracy
Wednesday, July 9 at 12 noon in front of GA

Dear members of Ruhr University Bochum,
Last Friday, you received our statement on the politically motivated break-ins, right-wing extremist graffiti and intimidation attempts. Attacks that specifically target those institutions and members of our university who are committed to equality, anti-discrimination and queer and feminist issues.
Words must be followed by deeds. Now is the time to fly the flag together!
That is why we are calling on you all:
Come next Wednesday, July 9 at 12 noon in front of the GA building (level 02 north side) .
Under our motto “Diversity is our Strength”, the Rectorate will address the campus. Together we are sending a visible signal:
For cohesion and an open society – and against hatred, agitation and exclusion.
Our campus belongs to us. Let's show that. Together.

With best regards in solidarity

Your

Prof. Dr. Martin Paul
Rector of Ruhr University Bochum
